If you love bubbly—and let’s be honest who doesn’t—then this is your week! Veuve Clicquot is hosting their 2nd annual Yelloweek starting today, May 11 in San Francisco. This week-long series is full of unique and indulgent experiences for anyone who appreciates cocktails, Champagne and gourmet food. Brunches, rooftops, caviar, seafood, dancing, DJs and more will be taking place throughout the city at some of its most iconic spots.
The Champagne-fueled activities best embodying the Veuve Clicquot “art de vivre” are also in support of a good cause—ending hunger in the Bay Area.
In San Francisco, hunger is an ever increasing problem, with over 38 million “missing meals” in the city and in its neighboring city of Marin. To help, Veuve Clicquot is once again partnering with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank to work towards the ultimate goal of ensuring everyone in the San Francisco Bay Area has the food assistance they need.
“Our mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, and we can only do that when we have support from partners like Veuve Clicquot,” says Paul Ash, Executive Director of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. “A generous donation made before Yelloweek will provide thousands of meals to our neighbors in need. And then there is the event itself which helps us reach a whole new audience—people who may never have thought about hunger before, getting them inspired to make a donation or sign up for a volunteer shift. We raise a toast to Veuve Clicquot for being such a great partner and ambassador in the fight against hunger.”
“We are proud to partner once again with our friends at the San Francisco Food Bank, and are especially inspired by their commitment to ensuring that everyone has enough fresh, healthy food to keep themselves and their family members well-nourished,” says Veuve Clicquot. “We are all able to be our best selves when we’re not worried where our next meal is coming from.”
Yelloweek kicks off today at the Proper Hotel’s newest venue, La Bande, for bubbles, bites and a special afternoon tea complete with Veuve Clicquot cocktails infused with herbal blends. Next up is Mother’s Day “Le Brunch” at the Virgin Hotel’s Commons Club. Guests can enjoy a specially curated menu with a selection of Veuve Clicquot champagnes to toast to mom!
Other events include Cliquot and Claws which brings together two classics: Champagne and seafood pairings, along with live entertainment and brilliant views of the Bay Bridge. Step it up a notch on the 16th with a Cliquot and Caviar combination at DECANTsf, where guests can fully embrace their love of lavish with a flight of Veuve Clicquot Rose, Vintage 2008 and La Grande Dame paired with Paddlefish Caviar from the Caviar Company.
The final event takes place on the 17th at San Francisco’s famed Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar located at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. Live music comes to guests courtesy of the Island Groove Band aboard the SS Forester, a schooner that once traveled between San Francisco and the South Seas Islands. Tropical vibes, Polynesian-fusion cuisine and cocktails await those who want to join in on the fun.
